3 things
You need to know 3 things in every project:
- What are we creating?
- What’s worth doing?
- What value does it provide?
- Every ideas must have competition.
- Most important principle of good UI/UX is progressive disclosure. Information presented to someone who isn’t interested in it - or isn’t ready to process it is just noise.
Requirements
There are 3 kinds of requirements:
- things people say they need
- things people actually need
- things people don’t know they need
When you need to get requirements quickly, use scenarios are your best friend
Documentation
- Documentation eliminates excuses and surprises which makes life good.
- When it comes to interacting with clients, partners: silence equals agreement.
- If you’re doing something without a list, you’re guessing which is bad.
Testing
Be realistic about what matters most: you can’t test everything
